The world is changing for the better. Less people are starving, live expectancy is increasing and the quality of life is improving in many ways – not only in the industrial world, but also in developing countries and in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Meaningful investments in people, infrastructure and in institutions are partly responsible for this development. Both, the private sector and public development policy are actors in this field, which is based on the expansion of the liberal, market-based economic and social system. Productivity in developing countries improves through international competition. This leads to additional wealth. Internationalisation provides advantages on both sides; offering an important contribution to local development and advantages for international investors.

“Business and Development“, combined with well meaning and honest governments will be able to change the outlook for developing countries and their people in a positive and sustainable way.

AABD is dedicated to this approach.
